Natural History Museum and Global Witness - Who Can We Trust in a Digital World?

Join Global Witness and climate activists for a crucial discussion on combating digital disinformation. Experts will expose how false narratives on climate and elections spread and how we can fight back. Wheelchair accessible.
Youth Support Space for Climate Emotions
What: Free wellbeing sessions for young people (16-25) navigating climate distress
Format: Small-group sharing & resilience tools (virtual/in-person)
Next dates: Mon, 14 Apr 6 - 7.30pm
Our friends at the Climate Psychology Alliance are offering a monthly space to process eco-anxiety, rage or numbness with trained facilitators. Bring your whole self, no activism experience required. Confidential, trauma-informed, and prioritising marginalised voices.

Wildscreen ARK Youth Nature Photo Competition
Eligibility: UK residents aged 13-18
Submission Window: Photos taken 1st September 2024 - 20th June 2025
Deadline: 23:59, 20th June 2025
Show off your wildlife photography skills in this UK-focused contest! Images must feature UK species/environments (no humans) and can be entered in other competitions too. No prior experience needed, just passion for nature and a keen eye!
Greening Lives Summer Internship - Lund Trust
Dates: 21 July - 3 September 2025 (35 hrs/week)
Location: Hybrid (London office 4 days/week)
Pay: £600/week | Deadline: 25 April, 5pm
Research how UK religious groups can boost urban greening for this philanthropic fund. Ideal for geography/conservation students with strong research skills. Includes report + presentation. Must be an undergrad or masters student with a right to work in the UK.
Pet Ownership & Comms Internship – Lund Trust
Dates: 21 July - 3 September 2025 (35 hrs/week)
Location: Hybrid (London office 4 days/week)
Pay: £600/week | Deadline: 25 April, 5pm
Research environmental/health impacts of pet ownership andand how any issues might be communicated to owners and potential owners. The intern will produce a written report and give a presentation based on their research. Strong writing/research skills needed.

Events and Communications Officer – Woodland Trust
Location: Smithills Estate, Bolton
Salary & Hours: Part time, 2 days/week | Fixed term until Jan 2026 | £29,000 pro rata

Join the Smithills team (including our own Katie Harriet Thompson!) to help bring the estate life by running events, managing social media and supporting volunteers. A great entry-level role for someone with a passion for the outdoors, people and communications.
Conservation Intern – Nottinghamshire County Council
Location: County Hall, West Bridgford (Hybrid)
Pay & Hours: £24,790–£25,584 | Full time, 37 hours/week | 10-month contract

A great hands-on opportunity for students or recent grads with a passion for nature. Work with the Biodiversity and Greenwood teams on GIS based woodland conservation and local wildlife projects across Nottinghamshire.
International Conservation Internship – Synchronicity Earth
Contract: 6-week summer internship, 9:30am–5:30pm (35 hrs/week)
Location: London (near Chancery Lane), hybrid options available
Pay: London Living Wage (£13.85/hr) + travel Oyster card
Deadline: 11 April 2025
Kickstart your conservation career with this hands-on internship! Work across teams like media, programmes, and fundraising, gaining skills and mentorship while supporting global biodiversity projects. Open to all, but especially encouraging applicants from underrepresented backgrounds—no prior experience needed, just passion for people and planet.

Community Spotlight: Ryan Eddowes
Wildlife filmmaker Ryan shares how childhood curiosity led him to create his educational "Ranger Ryan" series, embark on an inspirational walk to raise awareness of clubfoot, and why we should care about nature in the UK just as much as on an African savannah.
